Eight Percent Less Sales, Too.
in the news, January 30, 2006
Kraft Foods Inc., the nation's largest food manufacturer, said Monday it would eliminate 8,000 more jobs, or about 8 percent of its work force, and close up to 20 production plants as it broadens an ongoing restructuring effort.
Okay Kraft, Ford, General Motors, and the rest of the knucklehead corporations in the news lately, just who is going to buy Kraft food products, new Fords & Chevys, computers, homes, etc. when nobody is working at a good paying job anymore?
Sure, the gov't. tells us that 4.5 million new jobs have been created recently, but I think those jobs have all been at McDonalds, aren't they? Nothing to really pay the bills with.
I have a funny feeling that the true problem is company officers, executives, and managers that didn't pay attention when they were in business school, took the lazy way out, and don't have any idea how to run a company. Admit it, you have all been just faking it and you have no idea what to do now, right? Bluffing your way to making money and living large off the backs of the real "America Builders" of the last generations. Now that it's your turn to really run a company, you haven't a clue what to do because you weren't in class.
So...lay everybody off! Increase your profit share, and POP your golden parachute! That's all you know how to do. Bail Out!
